Malcolm Pearson
Malcolm entered Financial Services in 1981 contracted to Hambro Life, Allied Dunbar and Zurich as a Senior Sales Adviser with his own practice. Malcolm became totally independent in 2004 and now, as well being a successful Sales Adviser with a loyal client following, also runs the practice which is made up of 6 advisers and 2 administrators.
Malcolm has gained extensive business experience over the past 30 years including running a retail outlet, nursing home and hotel. Through this understanding, he now specialises in advising others on how to establish their business as well as wealth creation.
In addition to sales, Malcolm is a key driving force in the development and progression of both the business and it’s Associates. He is currently working towards improving the level of qualifications amongst the Advisers with an end goal of taking the practice to chartered status.
Malcolm is a keen gardener and enjoys looking after his large collection of Koi carp. He spends much of his free time enjoying the company of wife, daughters and grandchildren. |
Ros Thomson
Ros was a senior nurse for many years working in the NHS and Private Sectors. During this time she acquired a range of management and teaching qualifications. She is currently an elected Governor of our local NHS Foundation Trust.
Having joined the team in 2004 Ros advises our military clients. Drawing on her 16 years experience of service life Ros uses her extensive knowledge of the unique needs of H. M. Forces and their families to provide appropriate financial advice throughout their service careers and beyond, wherever they serve. She regularly gives financial briefings to military personnel on behalf of JSHAO(MoD).
Ros enjoys travelling and tries to combines that with her other interests in history, photography and drinking single malt whisky or red wine.

Amy Satchell
Whilst successfully completing her University Degree in Management Sciences between September 2001 and June 2004, Amy also studied and achieved her Certificate in Financial Planning and Mortgage Advise Qualification.
During this period, Amy also worked within the hotel and social care industries, providing her with an excellent grounding in respect of delivering a high level of customer service and care.
Amy joined the team at Pearson Independent Advisers in July 2004. She is now the Office Manager and is responsible for the day to day running of the office, as well as developing and implementing new practice procedures and systems.
Amy continues to practice as a Financial Adviser and over the past 5 years has developed her own loyal client relationships.
Amy enjoys cooking, eating out with her close friends as well as reading and visiting the gym.

Trudy
Trudy spent many years working for a multi -national financial services company. She managed large teams in the customer contact centre and claims department before leaving to have her children. Whilst Trudy’s children were pre-school aged she worked as Company Secretary for the family’s building firm before joining our team in November 2007. Trudy bought with her a wealth of knowledge in many areas of Financial Services and is our “treating customers fairly” champion, ensuring that the business remains customer focused in all areas of its operations.
Trudy loves reading, cooking, theatre and singing in the local parents choir, more importantly, spending fun time with my 2 young daughters.

Sarah Shah
Sarah Shah has always had a customer services background from the very beginning of her career. Sarah has held varying rolls gaining experience within solicitors practices through to a period of service within the Police force. These customer facing roles have enabled Sarah to be client focused with an emphasis on holistic financial planning striving to create a long term relationship for each individual client. Since joining the practice over 10 years ago Sarah has built up loyal customer relationships.
Sarah has three young children so has little spare time for her self but manages to persue her interests in keeping fit by running and dancing. Her weekends are taken up by family activities with any spare time spent socialising with friends. |
Robert Holmes
Robert Holmes has been a financial adviser for the past decade after leaving a diverse worldwide agricultural career. Over this period he has developed the ability to assess individual client’s requirements to give maximum long term financial gain, whilst ensuring their immediate financial security. The testament of this is reflected in recommendations leading to long term client relationships.
Roberts personal interest vary from being a Leeds United supporter, a football coaching assistant for a junior team and a keen runner, to family time, involving walks with the dog and enjoying the surf at the coast. |
Joëlle Whitehead
Joëlle has travelled extensively and after several years working in some of the best hotels in the world, as well as managing her family owned hotel, joined our team in 2006. Drawing on her wide-ranging management and problem solving skills Joëlle applies a holistic approach towards her clients and their financial needs.
While the majority of Joëlle’s personal time is spent chasing after her young son she still manages to participant in running half marathons and the occasional snow boarding holiday. For relaxation she enjoys photography and a much needed glass of red wine
